Alberta, Canada is in the heart of western Canada, it's east of the Canadian badlands. It's the fourth largest province in Canada, covering about, 661,000 square kilometers.(About 255,000 square miles.) The landscapes vary from the Rocky Mountains, to lush forests, that cover half the province. Alberta, also has more than 600 lakes, and 245 rivers. The capital of Alberta is Edmonton. The coniferous forest is in the northern hemisphere, close to the Arctic Tundra. It's found in the broad belt of Eurasia, and North America, two-thirds of it in Siberia, And the rest in Scandinavia, Alaska, and Canada.
